Unkown Disturbance in the Spruce-Fir Forest of San Juan National Forest, CO
ForWarn identified small disturbances in the San Juan National Forest, Colorado. The anomalies were disturbed west of the Weminuche Wilderness near Graham and Granite peaks and Slide Mountain. Because the area consists of mainly spruce-fir forests, the spruce beetle is a potential defoliator causing the departure of vegetation greenness. Confirmed causes are still unkown.
